Philly Pops
The Philly Pops is an organization which develops amazing
classical music performances which are showcased in the Academy
of Music. Peter Nero, who has won a Grammy for his skill
on the piano, leads the orchestra, and the Spring 2000 calendar
looks might impressive. The two big performances will be
"Hooray for Hollywood" with Maureen McGovern and
"The Aristocrats of Swing" with Ann Hampton Callaway.
Both look to honor the past with appropriate tributes and
musical styles, and we recommend giving them a shot.

Philadelphia Orchestra
is a legendary company which is doing something very interesting
for its 1999-2000 season. To celebrate its 100-year
anniversary, the company is presenting nothing but material that
it has performed and made famous over the years. This has
never been done before and is definitely turning a few heads in
the industry, as people are definitely receiving it very
favorably. Some of the highlights will include
Rautavarra's Eighth Symphony, Gorecki's Symphony No. 3, and
Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. All of these performances will
